On Thursday, May 15, members of the Scottsville Police Department, the Allen County Sheriffs Office, the Allen County Detention Center and the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police gathered outside of the Allen County-Scottsville Law Enforcement Center and hosted a solemn remembrance in honor of fallen law enforcement officers.
Michael Wilson, the Vice President of the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police, welcomed the gathered crowd with a few words comparing the work that law enforcement officers do to the work of the Watchmen on the towers as described in the Book of Ezekiel. It was a sentiment that was followed up by Scottsville Police Department Chaplain Phil Rodgers. He expounded on the role the Watchmen in scripture played in not only warning of dangers but also assisting people in keeping the law.
Allen County Sheriffs Office Chaplain Shane Britt then gave a final invocation for a prayer of protection for officers serving not just in Allen County but all across the state and nation. Included was a prayer of comfort for the families of those who fell in the line of duty.
Roses were then placed on the memorial outside of the Law Enforcement Center. The memorial, given by the Fraternal Order of Police, commemorates two law enforcement officers who served Allen County and Scottsville. They are T.H. Kirby who served as the Town Marshall in 1906 and Jesse Frost, jailer who served in 1975.

The memorial that stands outside of the Allen County-Scottsville Law Enforcement Center includes the names of T.H. Kirby, who served as the Town Marshall in 1906 and Jesse Frost, who served as the jailer in 1975. These officers lost their lives in the line of duty and roses were placed on this monument in honor of their memory.
