Pedestrian Safety Project to Temporarily Close Section of Ky. 100 in Scottsville

A pedestrian safety improvement project is set to begin on Ky. 100 at the downtown square in the city of Scottsville in Allen County. The construction will temporarily close Ky. 100 (Gallatin Road) at mile point 14.8, between Maple Street and the downtown square.
The closure is expected to begin on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at approximately 9 a.m., with the roadway expected to reopen the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 18. A signed detour using Ky. 980, U.S. 31-E and Ky. 101 will be in place.
The project will install a raised crosswalk on this section of Ky. 100 at the downtown square. The raised crosswalk will slow traffic down and improve visibility for pedestrians and motorists.
The work is being done by permit by Heart of Scottsville, Inc., in partnership with the city of Scottsville.
