Lady Patriot Volleyball Records Pair of Wins

The Lady Patriot volleyball team at Allen County-Scottsville snapped a four match losing skid with wins over Glasgow 3-1 (25-14, 25-8, 22-25, 25-20) and Butler County 2-0 (25-10, 25-18) last week.

The District 15 win over Glasgow included 15 kills by senior Kaitlyn Duncan. To help the cause, Duncan scored a team-high eight aces and recorded six digs. Senior Georgie Tabor added five kills, 21 assists, eight digs and five aces. Senior Claire Clay contributed 10 digs and four aces. Junior Addison Ramsey had 12 digs.

In a Thursday match at Butler County, Tabor and Duncan each notched eight kills to help AC-S to the straight-set win. Senior Faith Schaberg added five kills. Tabor paced the team in assists with 14. She also had seven digs and a team-high six aces. Clay finished with seven assists and nine digs.

With approximately 12 matches remaining on the regular season schedule–including the program’s Southern Kentucky Smackdown tournament on September 26–Duncan leads the team in kills with 164. She is averaging 9.1 kills per match. Tabor has recorded a team-high 305 assists, an average of 16.9 per contest. Clay has the most digs with 132 followed closely by Tabor (119) and Ramsey (109). Tabor also leads the team in aces with 39.

AC-S (11-8, 2-1 in District) hosts Barren County (13-7, 1-2) on Tuesday before an away match Thursday against Macon County (TN). Tuesday’s varsity match starts at 6 p.m. while Thursday’s varsity match is at 6:30.
