Allen County-Scottsville Archers Open Season

The archery season is underway for archers at Allen County-Scottsville High School. Last Friday, archers participated in a match in Bowling Green to kick off the 25-26 season. Archers shooting at the match included, front row, left to right: Marissa Meador, Melia Emery, Gabby Joyce, Madaline Childers, Cole Petty, Tanner Reid, Ty Jacobson and Coach Scott Walker. The Allen County-Scottsville High School archery team took aim at their first shoot of the 2025-26 season Friday (November 7) at the Bristow Bullseye Season Opener at Ephram White Park in Bowling Green. Seven AC-S sharpshooters scored personal best in the event.

Junior Aiden Blankenship shot a 266 including 10 “tens.” Freshman Marissa Meador fired a personal best 258 with eight tens. Freshman Madaline Childers also scored a personal best with a 253 including five tens. Sophomore FaithAnna Williams finished with a 249 as did senior Hayley Ditlevson.

Sophomore archer Cole Petty notched a 247 with sophomore Gabby Joyce shooting a personal best 243. Junior Jacob Farrar shot a 236 while sophomore Aubryahnna Blankenship finished with a 233. Sophomore Ty Jacobsen shot a personal best 227. Sophomore Tanner Reid fired a 223 with freshman Kyrie Begley recording a personal best 218.

Additional archers and their scorers were sophomore Melia Emery (207), freshman Mckinley Davenport (personal best 188), and sophomore Andrew Royals (personal best 169).

AC-S archers will return to the range in December.
