June Lyles (1935 – 2024)

June Lyles, 89, of the Trammel Community passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024 at The Medical Center at Scottsville. The Allen County, Ky., native was a former employee of Doug and Mack’s Grocery and The Citizen Times, she was active in the formation of Trammel Volunteer Fire Department and member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late William B. Pearson and Viola Marie Howell Pearson and wife of the late Darrel V. Lyles.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Lambert (Mark), Pope Community; one son, Tim Lyles (P.K.), Pope Community; one sister, Virginia Graves (Eutra), Scottsville; a special friend, Bobby Thomas, Trammel Community; six grandchildren: Kelly Ransom (Spring); Kevin Ransom; Jason Lambert (Kimberly); Eric Lyles (Britney); Becca Litsey (Matt); Kaylynn Morgan (Michael); 10 great grandchildren: Kayla Steele (Brandon); Seth Ransom; Harmony Ransom; Thomas Lambert; Hannah Lambert; Charlotte Lyles; Caroline Lyles; Eli Litsey; Owen Litsey; Eastyn Morgan; one step great grandson, Bryson Carr; three great great grandchildren: Shelby Steele, Olivia Steele and Brayden Steele.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Wayne Pearson and Bill Pearson Jr., one sister, Lavinia Warden and one step granddaughter, Tonya McCandless.
Funeral service was 11 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Harston, Bro. Kaleb Anderson and Bro. Jeremy England officiating and burial in Harmony Cemetery. Visitation was 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and after 7 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
