Linda Kay Reels Short, age 78, died Thursday Nov. 28, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.

Linda was a devoted Christian and lead singer serving at East Willow Street Church of God for over 40 years.

Born October 13, 1946, in Gainsboro, Tenn., she was preceded in death by her parents, Truman L. Reels and Lizzie Gray Adams Reels; her husband; Hugh Tim Short; her daughter, Teressa Kay Brown Atnip; her sisters: Lillian Keen, Shirley Smotherman, Bonnie Perry, Clara Carter and Kathy Reels; her grandson, Kaleb Short; her niece, Tammy Mitchell and nephew, Kevin Grissom.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Short; brothers: Walter Reels (Judy) and Bro. Tommy Reels (Sherry); grandchildren: Dana Hardcastle (James), Brian Atnip (Brittany) and Ashley Krause; nieces and nephews: Diane and Debbie (Ronny), Danny, Neal (Skye), Steve (Tammy), Timmy (Sandy), Donnie (Tonie) and Lee (Emily) and several great grandchildren.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday December 1, 2024 at the East Willow Street Church of God with the funeral at 2 p.m. and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.
