James Darrell Medley (1962 -2024)

James Darrell Medley, 62, of Scottsville, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024 at his residence. The Scottsville native was a former employee of PIC and Wagner Brake and a son of the late J.D. Medley and Sarah Elizabeth Meador Medley.

He is survived by his wife, Libby Medley, Scottsville; one son, Stephen Medley, Scottsville; one brother: Billy Ray Medley, Scottsville; two grandchildren: Logan Medley and Kennley Medley; two nephews: Ricky Blankenship (Faye) and Sammy Blankenship (Lisa), all of Scottsville; one niece: Angel Blankenship, Scottsville; three great nephews: Darren Blankenship, J.C. Meador and Brendan Perry, all of Scottsville; five great nieces: Sarah Borders (Mitch) and Ashley Hall (Steven), all of Westmoreland, Tenn.; Sheryl Mitchell, Scottsville; Jessica McClay, South Carolina; Heather Jones, Fountain Run, Ky.;

He was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Ann Blankenship.

Funeral service was 1 p.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation was 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 7 a.m. Friday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
