Carolyn Joyce (Murley) Settle (1950 – 2024)

Carolyn Joyce (Murley) Settle, 74, of Fountain Run, Ky., passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024 at Monroe County Medical Center.

Carolyn was a daughter of the late Stanley and Hazel (Cleary) Murley.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Tina Tooley, Tompkinsville; a son, Robert Wayne Settle Jr., Austin, Ky.; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and sisters-in-law: Bobby and Linda Murley, of Fountain Run, Ky., Jerry and Estelen Murley of Gamaliel, Ky., and Ricky and Kathy Murley of Lucas, Ky.; and a special niece, Marcie Murley of Burkesville, Ky.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Carol (Settle) Cauthen; brothers: James, Leonard, Floyd and Royce Murley; and sisters: Mary Curtis and Susie Firkins.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025 at Fountain Run Cemetery, with Bro. Time Eaton officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fountain Run Funeral Home.
