Frank E. Heil (1940 – 2025)

Frank E. Heil, age 84, of Scottsville, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Scottsville. Frank loved fishing for crappie in the warm Florida winters, U of L sports, and playing golf with his brother Charles. He worked for many years at Ashland Oil as a Regional Manager. Frank also had a passion for collecting antiques with his late wife, Norma.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Ruth Heil; his parents, Charles and Grace Ray Heil; one daughter, Debbie Brown; siblings, Tilly, Dolores, Joe, Charles and Embry.

He is survived by his children: Frankie E. Heil, Janice Canaday-Land (Allan), Gary Nall and Pam Rock (Rodney); eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. CST on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, from 10 a.m. CST until the time of the service at 2 p.m. CST, at Winn Funeral Home.
