Dottye Sue Lyle (1947 – 2025)

Dottye Sue Lyle, 78, of Scottsville, Ky., passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at Hospice House in Bowling Green.  The Hendersonville, Tenn., native was a former instructional assistant for Allen County-Scottsville High School, a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and Scottsville Chapter no. 60 Order of Eastern Star.  She was a daughter of the late Elster “Whitey” Lawson and Dorothy Mae Harston Lawson and wife of the late Bro. Richard Lyle.

She is survived by one daughter, Beth Lyle Sexton and husband, Jeff, Scottsville; two grandchildren: John Burx Sexton and James Levi Sexton and wife, Gracie, all of Scottsville; one great grandchild, Alorya James Lynn Sexton.

She was preceded in death by one son, Donald Clinton Lyle.

Funeral service was noon Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Yokley and Bro. Michael Horton officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.
