Everett Royce Willoughby (1934 – 2025)

Everett Royce Willoughby, 90, of Scottsville, Ky., passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at his residence.
He was born in Scottsville to the late Louie Ewing Willoughby and Conie Zelma Tabor Willoughby. He married Vera Fay Conner on March 17, 1961 and they were blessed with three daughters. He was a member of Clifton Baptist Church, the Brown Swiss Association, an honorary Allen County FFA member and was honored to receive recognition as a Kentucky Colonel in 1993. He spent his life as a dairy, tobacco and hay farmer and traveled many miles hauling his kids and grandkids to shows and fairs all over the southeast United States. He was an avid Kentucky Basketball fan.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Vera Fay Willoughby, Scottsville; three daughters: Linda Blankenship and husband, Mike, and Brenda Strange and husband, Curtis, all of Scottsville and Patricia Barlow and husband, Jimmy, Charlotte, Iowa; one brother, Carrol Willoughby and wife, Norma Jean, Scottsville; eight grandchildren: David Blankenship (Christy), Beth Thompson (Matt), Nikki Towe (David), Seth Blankenship (Meredith), Abbey Pardue (Zach), Logan Chandler (Ashley), Lee Strange (Joscelyn), Kailey Banowetz (Levi); 14 great grandchildren: Payton Towe, Conner Blankenship, Clay, Simon, Hank, George, Nora and Bella Thompson, Macey McClard, Kylie Saylors, Payson Chapman, Briggs Belk, Kollyns Banowetz and Auburn Strange and one unborn great grandchild: Wade Chandler. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Katherine Cheek (Jim) and Joann Welch (Blon); three brothers: William B. Willoughby (Ruby), Dolan Willoughby and Odean Willoughby; one great nephew: Jesse Foster and one great niece: Amanda Cheek.
Funeral service was 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy England and Bro. David Towe officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.
