Mary Joy Hobdy Arterburn (1934 – 2025)

Mary Joy Hobdy Arterburn, 90, died Saturday June 14, 2025 at home in Scottsville, Ky.

Born December 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William Thompson Hobdy and Martha Louise Hudson Hobdy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Louis Arterburn, and brother Bill Hobdy Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Parks and her husband Rick; two sons: Mark Arterburn and his wife Ramona; and Marty Arterburn; and her brother, Ransom Hobdy and his wife Judy; grandchildren: Chris Parks (Patty), Jenny Marrs, Andy Arterburn (Hallye), and Emma Arterburn Bale (Grant); great grandchildren: Lyla Marrs, Kylie Jo Parks, Katelyn Parks, Landon Bale, Madison Bale, Clark Arterburn and Mack Arterburn.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday June 27, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery located near the 2500 block of Meador Port Oliver Road, Hwy. 1533, Scottsville.
