Bernice Cornwell (1944 – 2025)

Bernice Cornwell, 81, of Scottsville, Ky., passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2025 at her residence.  The Franklin, Penn., native was a daughter of the late George Madison Cornwell and Marie Elizabeth Shuffestall Cornwell.

She is survived by one brother, David Cornwell and wife, Katrina, Westmoreland, Tenn.; special niece and caregiver, Theresa Phillips and husband, Michael, Scottsville; five nephews; six nieces; several great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Lester, Carlyle and Richard Cornwell and two sisters: Elaine Romanek and Dorathy Long.

Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
