Betty Thompson Sullivan (1952 – 2025)
Betty Thompson Sullivan, 73, of Scottsville, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Scottsville native was a retired employee of General Electric, former employee of Carpenter-Dent and Smarty Shop Restaurant and member of Red Hill General Baptist Church where she served as Sunday school clerk. She was a daughter of the late Lester Edgar Thompson and Wavie Genetta Williams Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, David Sullivan, Scottsville; one son: Bruce Carver (Lindsey), Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter. Brandy Carver, Scottsville; one step son, Joseph Sullivan (Brandi), Scottsville; one step daughter: Emmy Willoughby, Glasgow, Ky.; two brothers: Malcom Thompson (Patty) and Oscar Thompson, all of Scottsville; three sisters: Gladys Yates, Wanda Martin (Eugene) and Linda Herrington (Richard Lynn), all of Scottsville; one brother-in-law, Delane Dyer, Scottsville; four grandchildren: Sara Rivera (Alex); Corey Cundiff, Katelyn Carver and Bradley Carver; two great grandchildren and one unborn great grandchild; 10 step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: infant, Fred James Thompson and Earl Thompson; one sister, Becky Dyer; one sister-in-law, Gail Thompson and one brother-in-law: Elree Yates.
Funeral service was be 11 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Herrington officiating and burial in Red Hill Cemetery.
