Clint Dewayne Merchant (1961 – 2026)

Clint Dewayne Merchant, 64, of Collinsville, Ill., passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 at St. Louis Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, M0. The Granite City, Ill., native was a son of the late Grady Simpson and Mable Willene Estes Simpson.

He is survived by one son, Jared Merchant and wife, Whitney, Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter: Chasity McCory, Warrenton, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son; and two brothers.

There will be no visitation or service.  Cremation was chosen and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
