Jeffery Eugene Shipley (1955 – 2026)

Jeffery Eugene Shipley, 70, of Scottsville, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The Scottsville native was a retired employee of the City of Scottsville, former employee of General Electric, former truck driver, heavy equipment operator, former member of Allen County Ambulance Service, Allen County Jaycees, Allen County Rescue Squad and Scottsville Fire Department. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his step father, James Sears, Scottsville; caregiver, Deborah Stringer, Scottsville; several nieces and nephews and many people in the community who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ella Shipley Sears; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Nintha Ponds and one sister, Toni White.

Funeral service was 11 a.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Holland and Bro. Roscoe Robey officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.
