Theora Maxine Hill Wade (1929 – 2026)

Theora Maxine Hill Wade, 96, of Scottsville, Ky., passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026 at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.

The Claypool, Ky., native was a homemaker, former nurses aide at Allen County War Memorial Hospital and member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late George Columbus Hill and Bertie Sledge Hill and wife of the late Allen Jesse “A.J.” Wade.

She is survived by one son, Timothy Wade and wife, Darnell, Scottsville; one daughter, Theresa Anderson and husband, Darrel, Edmonton, Ky.; three grandchildren: Sarah Davasher-Wisdom (Dr. Rodney Wisdom); Nathan Davasher (Sheena) and Bonnie Sue Anderson; four great grandchildren: Landon Davasher, Aaron Banter, Elena Turner, Axle Turner and one unborn great grandchild, Siya Grimsley.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Noble Hill and Ernest Hill; eight sisters: Lola Pearson, Hallie Haskins, Ottie Oast, Beatrice Hatcher, Mary Osborne, Katie Moody, Eunice Mayhew and Dorothy Hardcastle.

Funeral service was 10 a.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Dyer and Bro. Ricky Huff officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.
