Jerry Bruce Vandiver (1936 – 2025)

Jerry Bruce Vandiver, 89, of Scottsville, Ky., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025. He was born in Manila, Ark., to the late Charles David Vandiver and Ruby Mae Hamilton Vandiver. He was united in marriage to Mary Beauchamp on September 12, 1959 in St. Louis, Mo. He was a retired employee of General Motors and a WW II Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Beauchamp Vandiver, Scottsville; one son, Jeffrey A. Vandiver, Scottsville; one daughter, Joan Yates and husband, Tim, Portland, Tenn.; two sisters: Laura Holzlander and Lillian Bradford, both of Rochelle, Ill.; three grandchildren: Jason Vandiver (Becky), St. Louis, Mo.; Joshua Vandiver (Madison), Scottsville and Heather Kirkham (Brad), Portland; six great grandchildren: Devon, Owen and Allison Vandiver; Daniel, Noah and Hadley Jo Kirkham; one step granddaughter, Sabrian Cowan (Casey), Kyle, Texas; two step great grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Marlee Cowan.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Naylor and six brothers: John, Bobby, Carl, Jimmy, Richard and Gary Vandiver.

Funeral service was 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Dr. Shawn Watson officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.
